On 21 October, SpertLab hosted a seminar in collaboration with the Neuroscience Laboratory of the Colombian Olympic Committee at the Ministry of Sport of Colombia. The seminar showcased cutting-edge research at the intersection of neuroscience, psychology, and sports expertise.
PhD students and collaborators from SpertLab demonstrated how advanced technologies are employed to study these areas. Joaquín Marzano presented WIMU technology, while Henrique Brito and Henrique Lopes explained their work with IMU systems. Adriano Carvalho discussed Elite HRV, Catarina Belchior presented on NIRS, and Margarida Carvalho shared insights on EEG. Professor Paulo Armada da Silva from FMH highlighted how NIRS and EEG systems can enhance sports performance and athlete well-being.
Laura Andrea León, head of the Neurosciences Laboratory of the Colombian Olympic Committee, provided insights into the lab's contributions to sports psychology.
